“Penki kontinentai” group have been providing internet and data services to natural and legal persons since 1996.  One of the companies, “Penkių kontinentų komunikacijų centras” independently of the other operators, design, implement and manage fiber optic network “Skynet” in Vilnius. “Skynet” is provided by fiber optic cable, which can be attitude in two ways: by each user to a residential home (called FTTB, Fiber to the Building) or a residential apartment (called FTTH, Fiber to the Home). This is one of the main advantages of “Skynet”. “Penkių kontinentų komunikacijų centras” employs experts, who constantly develop their skills and knowledge attending local and international courses, getting a lot of certificates from Microsoft, Cisco Systems, RAD, Motorola, AMP companies.

“Skynet” internet channel speed in the international network – 10 Gb/s, in Lithuania - 20 Gb/s. Currently, „Skynet“ connects Šeškinė, Fabijoniškės, Pašilaičiai, Justiniškės, Viršuliškės, Pilaitė, Karoliniškės, Antakalnis, Žvėrynas, Lazdynai, Naujamiestis, Baltupiai, Jeruzalė, Santariškės, Šnipiškės and Žirmūnai districts. The number of fiber-optic network "Skynet" users will soon reach 115 thousand. “Penki kontinentai” group is also actively involved in the information society and e-town development, which covers using information and network technologies, the implementation of an integrated information society project that combines educational institutions, medicine and police projects in e-solutions.
